Balance affects all of us, each and every person on the planet, without exception.
It affects the quality of our decision making, the way that we view the world and ultimately the quality of our lives and those around us.
There are several aspects that constitute balance but once you understand them there are several ways to make small changes that have a positive effect on your life.
Achieving Balance is not the sole preserve of spiritual masters, gurus and the like. The things they are doing can be done by anyone who has a certain level of knowledge and a resolve to apply some of the techniques to their life.
No-one has a genetic reason why they cannot find balance. It is a choice of the individual.

If you think of balance as like trying to juggle several balls in the air simultaneously then it can be seen that knowing what the individual balls are is essential to actually achieving balance.
The reality is that during the course of our lives some of us get closer than others to understanding and applying balance to our lives.
That said, achieving balance and fulfilment is open to all of us. How do I know that? Because fulfilment and balance are not dependent on external factors, they are only dependent on the perspective you choose to adopt.
You are unique and the balance that you feel is a measure of the degree to which your self-image is aligned to who you really are. Often people have a self-image that is out of line with who they really are and this leads to a feeling of internal conflict, low self-esteem and poor balance.
The universe simply is, and your choice is how much you want to love it. If you learn to love your existence in every moment then you will have found the Holy Grail and Nirvana of balance. True fulfillment.

Balance is a big subject but it doesn’t have to be complicated, although it is often made out to be unduly complex.
For many years I have had a passion for balance, an interest to find answers to the question ‘How do I achieve balance and fulfilment in my life?’ This quest has involved reading literally hundreds of books and contemplating several of the philosophical questions that pop up along the way.
My experience is that sometimes you have to read books the size of an encyclopedia to find that nugget of information, the next piece of the jigsaw that you have been searching for.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
One day it occurred to me that any idea can be expressed as a page, a paragraph and a picture. This is the core essence of any idea or concept. The core essence of a 350 page book can be explained in a page. Eureka!
And so, Achieving Balance was born.

A book designed to explain often difficult concepts in a way that is accessible and digestible to the reader whilst giving them an understanding of the main concepts of balance and how to apply them to their life.
The first half of the book is designed to give an overview of the main concepts and aspects of balance.
The second half of the book helps you understand how to practically apply balance to your life. This is done in ‘bite size’ chunks to make the changes easier to understand and apply.
The book will give you everything that has taken me the last twenty-five years of my life to discover. I wish I could have read the book myself twenty-five years ago!
Furthermore, I have recommended some books that I have found to be useful, that will help you expand your knowledge on the various topics.
You will discover in the book that you are part of me as much as I am part of you. We are all connected and are part of the same thing at the end of the day.
